| This family of Long-nosed Bats were sleeping under a dead tree in the river. If Francisco had not pointed them out, we would never have noticed. |

| This crocodile is called Tyson by the guides. He is about 14 ft long and no one messes with him.

| Lunch after a pleasent run on the river. We were served the traditional Costa Rican lunch called "casada" which is rice and beans. Guess what? We were offered rice and beans 3 times a day everyday.

| As we drove through Las Caņas, we saw this beautiful Catholic Church. A local artist Otto Apuy has been overseeing the work of enveloping the entire church in colorful mosaics.
