This family of Long-nosed Bats were sleeping under a dead tree in the river. If Francisco had not pointed them out, we would never have noticed.

This crocodile is called Tyson by the guides. He is about 14 ft long and no one messes with him.

Lunch after a pleasent run on the river. We were served the traditional Costa Rican lunch called "casada" which is rice and beans. Guess what? We were offered rice and beans 3 times a day everyday.

As we drove through Las Caņas, we saw this beautiful Catholic Church. A local artist Otto Apuy has been overseeing the work of enveloping the entire church in colorful mosaics.
